Designing for a week, not just a photograph.

The everyday details that make temporary accommodation feel like home.

Imagine day three

A striking photograph may attract attention, but guests also need somewhere to put a suitcase, hang clothes, charge a phone and eat breakfast. Design begins by walking through those ordinary moments.

Give each activity a place

Sleeping, relaxing, eating and working can coexist even in a compact home. Consider circulation and furniture proportions before buying statement pieces. A work surface needs practical lighting and accessible power.

Think beyond the living room

The entrance sets the tone. Clear arrival instructions, legible access information and space to pause with luggage can make the experience feel considered. In the kitchen, plan equipment around real meals rather than display.

Make upkeep part of the design

Durable finishes, washable textiles and replaceable items make daily operation easier. A guest-ready space should work for the cleaner and operator as well as the person staying.
